In the clinic, in addition to superficial and deep tissue fungal infections; advanced culture methods, molecular diagnostic tests, and susceptibility analyses against antifungal drugs are performed for the definitive diagnosis of life-threatening systemic fungal infections, which are especially seen in intensive care, cancer, or organ transplant patients.
Our department, which is the first to receive authorization as a training clinic in Izmir, continues its services thanks to its advanced technical infrastructure and aims to add value to the healthcare system by contributing to the education of our physicians who have devoted themselves to the field of Medical Mycology. With this authorization, our clinic will operate not only in diagnostic services, but also as an active reference center in the epidemiological monitoring of resistant fungal species, the management of hospital infections, and scientific research that will contribute to current literature.
