İzmir City Hospital Sleep Disorders Monitoring Center is Now in Service

The Sleep Disorders Monitoring Center, established within İzmir City Hospital, has started providing services for the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting sleep health.
Patients presenting with sleep-related complaints are evaluated by experienced Neurology, Chest Diseases, and Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) specialists. When necessary, they are referred to the Sleep Disorders Monitoring Center for further assessment.

During the evaluation process, symptoms such as excessive daytime sleepiness, snoring, sleep apnea (pauses in breathing during sleep), and movement disorders during sleep are taken into consideration.
At the center, a polysomnography (sleep test) is conducted—an advanced diagnostic method that records and analyzes the patient's sleep process in detail.

Patients stay overnight at the center as guests. During sleep, breathing patterns, heart rhythm, oxygen levels, and sleep stages are continuously monitored using specialized equipment.
The test is completely painless, safe, and comfortable.

The collected data are analyzed by expert physicians, and personalized treatment plans are developed accordingly.
This approach aims to improve patients’ sleep quality and overall well-being.
