İZMİR CITY HOSPITAL RULES FOR PATIENT COMPANIONS
Companions are present in the hospital to assist with patient care. Therefore, they are expected to comply with hospital rules. In case of a violation, the relevant person's companion status will not be accepted.
The number of companions allowed to stay with a patient is limited to 1 (one) person per patient.
If the patient has their own medications, please be sure to inform the ward physician and nurse.
Companions staying in the hospital must not use the empty beds in the patient rooms. Companions may use the companion chairs provided in the patient rooms for resting. Please take care to keep your room clean and tidy.
Do not leave pediatric patients or patients with a high risk of falling alone in the room or in their bed.
To ensure a peaceful environment for our patients, patients and their relatives must refrain from speaking loudly, making noise, or engaging in disturbing behavior in the patient rooms and ward corridors. Additionally, please ensure that the televisions in your rooms are used in a way that does not disturb others and are turned off during doctor visit (ward round) hours.
Visit (ward round) hours: Between 08:00-10:00 and 16:00-17:00. In some specialized clinics, these hours may vary depending on the operations. For detailed information, you can consult the Ward Charge Nurse.
When changing companions, please be sure to inform the ward nurse.
In case of any deficiency or problem related to the room (bed linen change, cleaning, etc.), please request support from the ward nurse.
Within the hospital premises, the use of tobacco, tobacco products, and alcohol by companions is prohibited in accordance with Law No. 4207. We would like to emphasize that legal action will be initiated upon detection of the use of any of these substances.
The TV remote control is located on the same device as the nurse call button next to the patient's bed in the rooms. Information regarding its use is provided by nurses during admission.
The ventilation system is disabled when the window is open. Therefore, do not leave windows open for extended periods.
Do not record visual media (photos, videos, etc.) within the hospital as it is a violation of privacy.
Please comply with the rules from the patient care training provided by nurses (e.g., hand hygiene, fall risk, isolation rules training).
To ensure the safety of our patients, it is forbidden to take patients out of the ward and hospital, or to change their beds without the permission of the relevant physician or nurse.
Companions can benefit from meal services free of charge. Meal trays are collected 1 hour after distribution finishes for each meal. Meal times: breakfast 06:00-07:00, lunch 12:00-13:00, dinner 17:30-18:30.
For patients determined by the physician to need snacks, snack distribution takes place in the morning between 09:30-10:30, in the afternoon between 14:30-15:30, and in the evening between 21:00-22:00.
