A 19-year-old patient, Kenan Can Sargın, who presented to the Otolaryngology Clinic at İzmir City Hospital due to recurrent nosebleeds, was diagnosed with a rare nasal sinus tumor following examinations.
The complicated nasal sinus tumor, known as Juvenile Nasopharyngeal Angiofibroma, is extremely rare. The tumor was successfully removed in one piece using an endoscopic method by Otolaryngology Clinic Training Officer Op. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdulhalim Aysel, and Op. Dr. Utku Kubilay. Additionally, Interventional Radiologist Prof. Dr. Ümit Belet and his team performed preoperative embolization to minimize complications such as bleeding, playing a crucial role in the success of the surgery and the patient's recovery.
